Bodrum is a picturesque town on the Southwest tip of the Turkish Aegean Sea. The characteristic white houses have always drawn numerous tourists. The cove is dominated by the landmark of Bodrum, the massive St. Peter’s Castle, located on a peninsula in the town port. Built by the Knights of St. John in the 15th Century, today it houses one of the best underwater museums in Turkey.Today, the centre of Bodrum is found around the quaint harbour quarter, where bazaar-like stores, bars and restaurants lie in the shadows of the castle. In the “Bar Street” in the pedestrianized “entertainment mile”, there are souvenir stores of every kind, but also never-ending rows of leather and jewellery stores. In the surrounding area, you will find many attractions, the pulsing life of the markets, active craftsmanship and folklore.
The area between Asia Minor and Europe offers ample change of pace for the crews. Our region in Bodrum lies between picturesque Greek islands like Kos, Nisyros and Tilos and the plentiful coves along the Turkish coast. From our support base in Turgutreis, you can already see the Greek island of Kos with the naked eye.

The weather is stable over the entire sailing season from April to November. Even in mid-summer a comfortable climate prevails; a strong wind often blows in the daytime, allowing uninhibited sailing pleasure. Sailors have always been magically drawn to Bodrum. In front of the picturesque backdrop of the town, hundreds of boats can be found in the harbour and berthed in the marina. In Bodrum, the Gulets, traditional wood boats that are characteristic of this region, are still built according to traditional ways in the Tersanes, the various small boatyards. Bodrum is the ideal starting point for a “Blue Voyage”.
